About me
Hello, my name is Taha Hoseinpour, and I am a master’s student in theoretical computer science at Sharif University of Technology.
My primary research interest is understanding how complex continuous or high-dimensional structures can be represented by simpler discrete objects while preserving their essential properties. This perspective appears in many areas of theoretical computer science, including graph and hypergraph sparsification, metric embeddings, spectral graph theory, and approximation algorithms.
More broadly, I am interested in geometric and analytic approaches to algorithm design. In particular, I enjoy studying how high-dimensional objects can be approximated by lower-dimensional ones, how complicated metrics can be embedded into simpler spaces, and how these ideas can be used to design efficient algorithms.
On this blog, I write about papers and books that I read, focusing on their motivation, historical development, and main technical ideas. I also maintain a reading list of books and papers that I am currently studying.
Please check the blog and the reading list; thank you. ——
